AFSA Governing Documents

The AFSA Governing Documents that chapter officers should be familiar with are:

  1. AFSA Manual 100-1, Bylaws
  2. AFSA Manual 100-2, Policies and Procedures
  3. AFSA Manual 100-4 (1), Daily Operations
  4. AFSA Manual 100-4 (2), Awards, Scholarships, and Grants

All of the above listed manuals are binding on all AFSA and AFSA International Auxiliary members, divisions, chapters, members of the International Executive Councils, Headquarters' Staff, contractors, or other individuals or companies under contract with AFSA or the International Auxiliary.

The AFSA Manuals are in the Members Only (Resources Tab) section of the AFSA website: http://www.afsahq.org. and can be accessed only by Division and Chapter Presidents. Division and Chapter Presidents must log in to the website to obtain access.

    AFSA Legislative Program Brochure

Describes the program  to provide a "professional, honest, collective voice" for all Total Air Force (Air Force Active Duty (AFAD), Air National Guard (ANG), Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC)) enlisted personnel in active, retired, or veteran status, and their families by educating  elected leaders and staffs, Department of Defense (DOD) and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) leaders and staffs, and the general public regarding plans, programs, legislative initiatives, and personal sacrifices in efforts to improve Air Force enlisted members quality-of-life benefits and programs.

This brochure is available to Division and Chapter presidents on the AFSA website at http://www.afsahq.org, in the drop-down menu at the [ Resources ] tab. Division and Chapter presidents must be logged in to access.

AFSA Training Documents

    1. AFSA Training Plan, New Member Orientation

The objective of this training plan is for each new member to comprehend how his/her membership enhances the association's objectives. The objectives are outlined in the a number of Main Points (MP) for discussion.

This New Member Orientation may be found on the AFSA website. After logon, click the [ Resources ] tab, then select the "Other Documents" link. A new screen appears and you will be asked to click the desired link in the left-hand pane. Again, click the "Other Documents" link. Then click "New Member Orientation (AFSA)" in the right-hand column of the list of "Additional AFSA/Auxiliary Documents" that appears.

    2. Training Guide, Chapter President and Vice President, Leadership and Management.

    3. Training Guide, Chapter Trustee, Leadership and Management

The objective of this training guide is to provide Chapter Trustees with the information and tools necessary to perform the duties as a chapter trustee.
